Whether it’s the story of a giant sea creature that once roamed the seafloor in Pensacola, Florida, or a ghost that haunts one of the bridges on Staten Island’s Willowbrook State School, local legends add depth and intrigue to our everyday lives. Genshin Impact is no exception, with a rich tapestry of lore woven throughout the game’s world. Here we dive into some of these captivating tales.
In the Blue Mountains of Sydney, Australia, visitors stand awed by the Three Sisters at Echo Point, but few know the story behind this iconic lookout. The Three Sisters are a part of the local legend of a sorceress who lived in the area and terrified the townsfolk into taking justice into their own hands, killing her in the process. This tragic local legend serves as a reminder of how fear and mistrust can shape the perceptions of supernatural phenomena in a community, and that we should always remember that behind every scary tale is a human heart.
The Local Legend (LCL) achievement is awarded to athletes who match to a segment more times than anyone else over a rolling 90-day period regardless of pace or speed. Strava subscribers can tap on a segment to view its Local Legend section, which displays the top athlete for that segment as well as their total efforts and the number of effort matches that athlete has made with other athletes, including both women’s and men’s efforts. The Local Legends list is updated automatically and weekly. Email notifications for this section can be turned off from the email settings page. Local Legends are currently available on run, ride, walk, alpine/backcountry/nordic ski, and bike segments.
