Graduation day is an important moment for every graduate. This is a time to brush away stress, reflect on the journey they have made and look forward to their future. This is a unique event that is not going to happen again for most students, so it is important to make the most of it. Whether you decide to throw a huge party, go on a trip, do brunch or a spa day, or give them a unique gift, it is important to make sure they know that you are proud of them and that you have a deep appreciation for their hard work and achievements.
Once graduation day arrives, it is likely that the graduates will be separated from their family members to enter the ceremony room. This usually involves music, the entrance of the graduate cohort and possibly the singing of the national anthem. Then there will be speeches from student speakers, faculty members and possibly even a guest speaker. Finally the Chancellor or the President of the academic board will distribute diplomas and walk the graduating students across the stage.
This is a very emotional part of the ceremony and many parents are likely to shed a tear. Once the graduates have their hats and caps on it is time to shake hands with the Chancellor and receive a cylinder or diploma. This is a very special moment and it is worth it to take your time, shake hands with everyone in attendance and enjoy the moment.
